It’s All Laid Out on the Table

A table is not a graph, which is why we saved it for last. It is true that they both display data for one to interpret further information, but in a table, you will find precise data. Look back at the three graph examples. In all three, some data is estimated. In the bar graph and line graph, not all of the data lands exactly on the rounded numbers. In the circle graph, you are given percentages to work out for Liesel’s budget.

In the example below, note that there is no bar or dot to fall somewhere between the numbers. Only numbers are presented. Look at the title. You see that we are looking at average sales per each month so it isn’t presenting exactly the amount each person sold, but there is still no estimations to be made on your part. You are given a solid number to use.
