Keep ‘Em in Line
Same rules apply here as adding decimals. Keep the decimal points in line with each other. If you don’t, then your answer could go off the rails.
Helpful Tips
Always set up the problem by stacking it if it is not already. Also, fill in spaces with zeros if it helps you visually see the columns better.
