Multiply Fractions

No Worries with Denominators

At least, not in the same way that you did when adding or subtracting fractions. If the denominators are not the same, no need to worry about making them the same.  To multiply fractions, simply multiply the numerators together, then do the same for the denominators.  That’s it!

Multiplying Fractions

What if you get thrown a curve ball like a fraction multiplied by a whole or mixed number?

For a whole number, convert it to a fraction by making the whole number a numerator and placing “1” as the denominator.  Change the mixed number to an improper fraction.
